FISCHER’S INSPECTION TRIPS
2007 AND PREVIOUS TRIPS FOR CLIENTS
Each year our annual
Inspection Trip designates a theme that matches client’s needs and
requests. In 2007 the theme was accessible travel from holiday homes
to hotels and B and B’s to match every possible budget. Our clients
then received our rankings, ratings, raves and rants concerning
accessibility.
As we normally travel in
late summer and early fall we have the pleasure of each year’s harvest
and grape pressings in different regions of Italy, Spain and France.

We covered
both the early
and late harvests from the Medoc, across southern
France and into Burgundy
and Alsace.
A second
theme was day trips in less-touristy Brittany, SW France, and the
Rhone Valley as well as day trips
around Paris and the Loire Valley re-visited. |

Our inspectors joined us for
a Lot Valley in-depth journey in the south of France. While in
Ireland and the UK our student interns re-inspected Scottish and Lake
Country B and B’s along with stops along the Cotswold Walk.
In the last ten years we
have conducted over 13 visits covering all of France, most of Spain
and Italy with Portugal, Germany, Austria and Swiss visits filling out
our travels.
We enjoy stays where the
French vacation more than the “Americanized” locations. Beaches along
the Atlantic often are inexpensive and family friendly.
Over the past three years we
have sent inspectors into Eastern Europe, Greece and the Baltic and
have added contacts in most locations to assist our clients.
As the dollar continues to
fall we have expended out efforts to find accommodations for families
with children, seniors and the single traveler. The modest 80-100 Euro
hotel of 2004 is now almost twice the price whiles the 35-50 pound UK
B&B is now at least 50 pounds per person.
