Aquitaine

Bretagne (Brittany)
Northwest France from Mt.
Saint- Michel to the Atlantic and south to the Western Loire Valley.
From the ramparts of Saint-Malo
you may wish to travel westward along the Emerald Coast of
Brittany. Stay at wonderful child friendly farms and manor houses,
enjoy selected adult B & B’s and Restaurant, as you explore the
forest, countryside or harbor towns along 1,700 km of Celtic
coastline. In Rennes, Brittany’s capital, visit the museums and

Tour Hotel-Dieux, the famous
Hospice of Beaune, built by the Dukes of Burgundy at the height of
their power in the Middle Ages. This beautifully preserved
architectural hospice demands a visit and the market outside will

Corse
(Corsica)
Island department in the
Mediterranean south of Nice and Marseilles - westward from Italy and
close to Sardinia.

Cote DAzur (Riviera)
East of Marseilles to the Italian Border.
France's
most famous ocean playground stretches along the Mediterranean from
Marseilles to the Italian border at Menton.
Enjoy our
rental apartments in less crowded Menton with its two open markets
and 6 km. of beach walk. You may also enjoy and one of our 32
wonderful bed and breakfasts in the hills north of Nice in 2007-08.
Mountains surge out of the sea, and cities are
chiseled into their sides. Monte-Carlo, Nice, and Cannes, may
be
enjoyed without breaking your budget! Inland you find Roman ruins, cities, beautiful
valleys, deep gorges and lower prices.

area surrounding Paris in all directions and extending from Fontainebleau on
the southeast to Monte's
garden northeast
of Paris.
The original domain
of the French kings during the Middle Ages, Ile de France extends from Paris to Orleans.
Our choices include everything from night
life to Gothic cathedrals and magnificent museums. Everyone
deserves at least one night in a Chateaux.

Languedoc - Roussillon
West and
southwest of Montpellier and northwest to Nimes.
Ecological
wonderlands, from the gorges at Tarn to the wilds of the Camargue,
awaits you. This area of
France extends
from the western side of Avginon is one of the greatest bargains for
summer villas, bed and breakfasts and hotel stays.
Montpellier music
and dance festivals are summer highlights with many smaller village
festival also in swing.
Enjoy an evening
or two at le Jardin des Sens where the two young three starred
Michelin chefs make this the ideal place for the big splurge. The

Great buy for a vacation in this new century. An emerging wine
region during the 1990’s, the vineyards now produce great wines.
Better yet they cost far less than many equally good brands from the

Limousin
Directly south from
the Loire Valley on your way to Bordeaux
and the Dorgonne.
Every year
one of our clients takes her students to view the village of
Martyrdom in Oradour-sur-Glane. In this area where Richard the
Lion-hearted died the savage “revenge” of a Nazi leader haunts the
memory of senseless slaughter in 1944.
This area
provides
economical Chateaux and village stays far from the
usual tourist path.
However, the
area is easily in range of daytrips north to the Loire Valley and
west to some of the most beautiful sandy beaches along the Atlantic
coast.
Enamel,
Porcelain and Limousine China factories and outlets are also close.
Biking and hiking paradise as well as historic sites welcome you.

Western
Loire
From Saumur to the Atlantic.
Westwards
from Loire Valley chateaux and castles to the great oyster beds and
the historic sites of many a religious war you reach the mouth of
the Loire at Seattle’s sister city, Nantes.
Float by the
manor houses of the Endre and Loire and also visit Prehistoric cave
sculptures & Gregorian Abbeys, along with beautiful gardens awaiting
your visit.
Visit the
LeMan Cathedral, market and Speedway. In Saumur and Vante horse
backing riding is popular and terrific opportunity to see these
beautiful animals in training.
On the coast
there are golf and yachting opportunities and some of best cycle
paths in the world.
Chateaux
weekly rentals for 2007 and 2008 are now available.
If there is
French in your background, this is the area where many religious
refugees fled to the new world from the port of La Rochelle.
In 2005 we
found great spas, lovely beach homes and added 12 rentals and 16

Charente
Southwest of the Loire Valley drive along the oyster growing marshes
into the Cognac area of France and on to the ancient and historic
port of La Rochelle

In La Rochelle’s Port you can recall the departure of the first
permanent French settlers to North America.
