I found Your French Connexion on the internet and emailed for references. I received great feed back from past travelers.  Nancyhelen and her group did a fantastic job planning our trip to Italy.  Two couples, with somewhat different requests. They did a wonderful job working with us, listening to us and planning a great trip.  We stayed within the budget we set up for them.  The hotels and B & B's were just what they described!! We will certainly use them again!!

Nancyhelen and Henri are two of the most wonderful professionals you will ever meet. I came across their company's web page quite by accident in 2003. At the time I was planning an extensive and quite complicated European 4 week vacation, for 2 couples,  with a travel agent, whom I had used for 15 years for business travel. I became increasingly nervous with that Agents limited knowledge of European travel, so I contacted Nancyhelen. From the outset she listened, we discussed alternatives and made decisions. The great thing about dealing with this company, they spoke from experience, having personally traveled to the regions of France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany that our itinerary included, all by train. Each and every step of the program was completed without a hitch and even resulted in a 15% savings, with better accommodations than my previous Travel Agent was recommending. Unfortunately I became ill and hospitalized in Munich. Nancyhelen was in constant co ntact with us and made the necessary changes to our travel schedule.

I was so pleased with their services that 18 months later I had her design a vacation which included London, Brussels, Amsterdam, and a personal guide for 4 days to take us through the battlefields of Normandy, Northern France, Versailles and a very detailed view of Paris by a native (well worth the cost plus a great guide). Again the 3+ week program went without a hitch.

It is without reservation I recommend Nancyhelen and Henri, not only as a Company but as caring and professional individuals.

My wife and I sought out Nancyhelen and Henri's assistance finding an apartment in the town of St.-Jean-de-Luz in southwestern France.  This was our third trip to France and we had never used a travel agent before, relying on various travel guides for lodging recommendations.  However, this would be the first time we would stay in an apartment and I was not comfortable selecting a week's lodging without  a recommendation from someone that had actually stayed in the place or had "local knowledge".  I called Nancyhelen because she and Henri make a point to visit sites that they recommend on their annual review trip to France and Spain.  I arraigned to use the Your French Connexion on an hourly consulting basis to find us the apartment in St.-Jean-de-Luz .  The choice of apartment could not have been better.

We also had Nancyhelen make our airline arrangements.  We did this after we realized that she could find the best routes for us at the best possible price.  I estimate that she saved us more than $200 on airfare. 

I would not hesitate to use Your French Connexion again and would take advantage of their "on the ground' experience before I planned my next trip.  I was truly impressed with the detailed knowledge that they have of the towns and villages in France.  I would also have them make all of my hotel reservations.  Not only because of the convenience but because I think that they can get better rates.

Unlike most of the Your French Connexion clients the Fischer’s’ did not plan our trip. We used information from a well-known TV travel host and bought three of his guides. We set our budget, read his recommendations and off we went to enjoy our first trip to Europe.

In Paris the hotel staff was rude and everyone was (it seemed) from the states and most were most unhappy with the unclean bathrooms and rude service.

 

In Milan we were in a dark hole with no A/C and a shared bathroom that was not cleaned for the two nights we were there.  I fled to an internet café and found Your French Connexion. I e-mailed four of their references and then called Nancyhelen.

 

A night later we were on a wine estate she arranged for our week outside Florence. Next Henri called a B and B in Cinque Terra where we had dinner two nights before winding up in one of the finest hotels ever in Nice.

 

While in Nice we went to see the hotel we originally had booked.  It was breakfast time and again only US English could be heard. Two ladies checking out were being roughly told they had used too many towels and you could hear the clerk’s voice scolding outside the front door.

 

Before calling the Fischer’s we had explored finding a spa for our final week but the prices were so high we had let that experience fade. However when I told Nancyhelen that part of our dream trip she sold me on using our last train pass day to go to St Paul les Dax.  

 

We both were somewhat afraid that a SPA in a chain hotel would not meet our expectations but behold we were the only Americans.

 

The spa with its 11 pools and indoor, outdoor exercise facilities, good food on site and great food close by far exceeded our dream - the sunsets and balcony were added attractions. Nancyhelen and Henri had just recently inspected the property and we were the first clients they sent.

 

Returning to Paris Henri booked two queen rooms at two hotels-one for 112 Euros on the left bank and one at 78 Euros near the Opera.  In both we felt like being in Paris with people from all over the world - including French families who shared their Paris experiences with Dana and myself. One night six of us went out and our new French friends took us to places they visit when in Paris –great prices and wonderful atmosphere- what AN EXPERIENCE!

We are writing you from Naples after six short strikes on the railroads to thank you a million times over for finding us in our Firenze apartment and updating us on the strikes on Italian Rail. We re-planned our trip and wonder of wonders arrive at this, your great hotel, on time for our family reunion on the 4th.

While in Firenze we took both day trips you suggested and used your updates for Como, Garda, Tivoli and Venice and had no problems - six weeks in Italy planned by Your French Connexion made us think you should call the company Your French-Italian Connexion.

We gave Nancyhelen and Henri less that ten days notice to put together a trip for our daughter and her father in Paris. They obtained great airfares and hotels that were teen age friendly. Outside Paris the day trips they planned were outstanding and the people who hosted us in Normandy and the Loire will be lifelong friends.
